Lasers for cutting and engraving non-metals.

The size of the worktable comes in various configurations depending on the needs, and the power of the water-cooled “glass” tube varies by model and is powered by direct current, while the RF “metal” tube is powered by alternating current. The price of RF is higher, but it offers an advantage in precise 3D engraving.

For maximum lifetime of the laser tube, the water-cooling system must maintain the operating temperature within an optimal range, and at higher power it must be active.

Control is provided by a specialized controller installed in the laser and dedicated software installed on a PC running Windows OS. Depending on the setup, the connection to the machine can be via USB, a wired local network, or WiFi; a CCD camera for automatic contour cutting is optional.

The drive system uses belts and stepper motors. A combination with a movable Z-axis table and an auto-focus option assists the operator. An exhaust system removes the fumes, compressed air is supplied to the head to extinguish flames, and a red dot pointer facilitates the operator’s work. The power supply is 220V / single phase.

The CO₂ laser is functionally complemented by a CNC router that processes a wide range of materials.
